For over 60 years, Havaianas has been a must-have for beach goers around the world. Originally sold through mostly retail doors, Alpargatas, the parent company of iconic brand, Havaianas, soon grew their online channel to become their largest retail outlet. However, as the business continued to grow, the legacy eComm technology didn't grow with them and couldn't scale with the operations. Their goals for the future were to operate a single eComm, Marketing, and Service platform throughout the world, that would allow them 1:1 personalized interactions with their consumers, regardless of where they were interacting with the brand. Because of this, Havaianas made the decision to switch to Salesforce Commerce, Marketing, & Service Clouds, tied together with Mulesoft, for it's singular platform to help them
achieve all their goals.
Alpargatas believed that a big consulting firm was the best approach to guide them through a global digital transformation. After several months it was clear that they needed a partner which was far more agile while providing world-class consulting.
RunDTC was brought in to assess the current state of the solution and to devise an approach that would get it to the finish line quickly.
Once the RunDTC team understood where everything sat, we realized it was best to start from the beginning and efficiently implement the new solution. RunDTC then kicked off the cross-cloud implementation, and within 4 months, the RunDTC and Alpargatas teams launched a beautiful new Havaianas.com, representing the brand as it should be, with the proper foundation for global scalability.
The solution entails Commerce, Marketing, and Service Clouds, with Mulesoft deployed by RunDTC across the enterprise. The solution was further integrated to a 3rd party OMS and their SAP ERP system.
Whether in a marketing campaign, an onsite purchase, or physical interaction with a consumer service associate, Salesforce allows the Havaianas team to leverage their data in ways they never could with their previous legacy technology. With the Salesforce cross-cloud solution built by RunDTC, Alpargatas now serves their consumers when and where they interact with the Havaianas brand.
